• been to the farmers market
• been to the MN and Como zoos
• went on his 1st date with Lilah
• been to bed between 9:30p m and 10:30pm for the last week (mom and dad’s new favorite thing!!)
• sleeps in until 6:15am or so.  Eats and then goes back to bed until 10am
• rolled over a couple more times
• lifts his head and belly up, but also lifts he legs at the same…much like a seal
• becoming fiercely independent.  Takes his pacifier out and then gets mad it’s missing, pushes toys away and mad they won’t come back to him, if he is eating and something more exciting is going on, he must check it out before going back to eating.
• he is sleeping in his crib!  Right now, naps only, but will be making the big full time transition this weekend .
• and finally, Mommy has gone back to work.  It sucks!  Although, Ryan gets to hang out with Daddy at home.  They do all sorts of things together.  Run errands here and there, make it up to Chris and Robs every Monday and scoffs at Mommy’s to-do lists.

Ryan’s favorite position is standing! He loves when you hold him up and he puts weight on his legs. He also has been loving his baby gym mat. He especially loves the lights and music. He might be back on a napping routine. The last 2 days, he has taken a nap each afternoon. Aren’t babies supposed to sleep all of the time?!?!?!?!?

We have a big afternoon planned for today. Ryan is meeting his aunt Judy and aunt and uncle Nancy and Mark. We are excited to see them!

Today has been much better. We already have 3 hours of napping under our belts and I sense at least another short nap in the near future

Oh, guess who has started smiling at us??? He has had lots of gas smiles, but this week, he started smiling at us! So rewarding and exciting!

Ryan has DJ’s sleeping style.  He is going down for bed around 1-3am and then sleeps for 5 hours.  He wakes up for about an hour to be nursed and heads back to sleep for another 2-3 hours.  I am very thankful for this!!

His furry friends – Oscar, Charlie and Colten are getting used to him.  Oscar now knows to stay out of the nursery and bassinets, at least when we are near by.  Charlie is less afraid of Ryan and now is able to be in the same room.  He hid for the first couple of days of being home.  Colten has given Ryan his fair share of puppy dog kisses!  Colten is definitely struggling to get used to this new schedule.  He is used to sleeping all day and night and now…..not so much now!  The other night, he headed up to his bed about 2 hours before DJ and I went to bed.  It was he first time ever Colten has gone to bed on his own!

Grandma Judy, Rick and Uncle Josh came to visit today.  Ryan enjoyed them!  He graced Josh with his vibrating diaper trick   Ryan was quickly passed back to me for a fresh diaper.

The kid is calling for dinner #5 .  We will try to add some more pictures in the next couple of days.

Oh yeah, this little guy really has a name….Ryan Jeffrey Lewis!  I can’t believe we held on to this secret since October!  Check back here for pictures and updates.  DJ will try to post updates once this little guy has made his debut.
